Tour itinerary

Day One - Auckland - Paihia
Northliner Coach departs Auckland at 08:30
Arrive Paihia at 12:40

Depart Auckland northbound for Paihia, the Jewel of the Bay of Islands. Spend the afternoon discovering all Paihia has to offer -culture, fine dining, adventure, wildlife and superb beaches.

Overnight: YHA Paihia

Day Two - Paihia
Cruise starts at 09:30
Cruise ends at 16:00* 

Join Kings Cruises for a Day in the Bay! Conditions permitting, you can put on a wetsuit and try boom netting - a great way to get close to these wonderful creatures even if you are not a confident swimmer. If sea conditions are comfortable (at skippers' discretion) you can free-swim with them! If you prefer to stay on board and enjoy the water antics from above, you are welcome to do so.

Full commentary is provided in English via the on-board sound system. Printed guide sheets are available in English, German, Japanese & Mandarin

The cruise includes a stopover on Motukokako Island, Hole in the Rock & dolphin sightings.  If dolphins are spotted and conditions suitable, you can swim with them – simply pay $30 to the crew on the day.

What to bring:
Towel, swimming gear (wear your swimsuit under your clothes for convenient changing), hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera and lots of film, long sleeve shirt/cover up. Spring wetsuits and snorkel gear are supplied

Day Three - Paihia to Auckland  
Northliner Coach departs Paihia at 13:20
Arrive Auckland at 17:30

Tour ends upon arrival in Auckland.

Prices are per person and include all prebooked accommodation, transport and Day in the Bay cruise.
Please note - the summer cruise includes swimming with the dolphins and an on board lunch. As conditions are less favourable in winter, dolphin swimming is not included in the price. As the cruise is shortened during this time of year, no lunch is included.  

Cancellations and amendments

Once the package has commenced no portion of the package is refundable, for whatever reason.

• Cancellations received at least 7 days prior to proposed date of arrival in New Zealand will be entitled to a refund less a cancellation fee of NZ$50 per person.
• Cancellations received in the period which is between 2 and 7 days prior to proposed date of arrival in New Zealand shall be entitled to a refund less a cancellation fee of NZ$100 per person.
• Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to proposed date of arrival or less than 48 hours prior to start date of the package shall not be entitled to a refund.
• It is recommended that all passengers have comprehensive travel insurance.
